Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ mental health needs, including diagnostic assessments that guide treatment planning.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one counseling sessions to support clients in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, such as psychoeducational groups or support groups, to enhance community support and share coping strategies.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and interventions based on ongoing assessments.
• React promptly to crisis situations by providing immediate support, administering risk assessments, and coordinating emergency interventions with other professionals.
• Stay abreast of mental health advancements by participating in continuous education and training, which enhance your skillset and client outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each client's needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a mental health counselor in New York, meeting all state-specific requirements for practice.

Compensation and Benefits
