Work Environment

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from any location within the United States, including from your home in Owensboro, Kentucky. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting one-on-one counseling sessions with adult clients via secure video chat, allowing them to discuss personal challenges and emotional struggles in a safe environment.
• Screening clients to ensure that only those with low acuity and stability are scheduled for sessions, maintaining a focus on appropriate care levels.
• Fostering an open dialogue where clients can express their thoughts and feelings, enabling insights about their emotions and relationships.
• Identifying and assessing a wide range of emotional and mental health disorders, including anxiety, grief, and stress, to inform treatment plans.
• Developing personalized treatment plans based on your clinical expertise and knowledge, integrating a solution-focused approach.
• Monitoring client progress throughout therapy, adjusting strategies as needed, and equipping clients with effective coping mechanisms to manage their mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult clients experiencing emotional difficulties or mental health disorders who seek support through telehealth services. Our client base includes individuals facing anxiety, depressive disorders, stress management issues, and those navigating life transitions and challenges.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• An active independent mental health license such as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• Strong computer literacy skills to effectively navigate our telehealth platform and manage client interactions.
