Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Remote Position

The United Behavioral Health Center is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through individual consultations, utilizing effective evaluation techniques and tools.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans that address each client's unique mental health needs, challenges, and goals.
• Provide ongoing therapy sessions, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities to engage clients effectively.
• Equip clients with practical tools and strategies to manage their mental health challenges, fostering independence and resilience.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, referring clients to other healthcare providers like psychiatrists when specialized care is needed.
• Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices and contribute to our continuous improvement efforts as a learning organization.
• Document all client interactions and treatment progress accurately in our EHR system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse clients facing various mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Our clients range from adolescents to adults, each requiring tailored therapeutic interventions that respect their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

Qualifications

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.
• Licensure: A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW in the state of New Hampshire is required.
• Experience: A minimum of four years of related clinical experience is necessary, illustrating a depth of understanding in the mental health field.
• Skills: Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to remain composed during challenging clinical situations are vital.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds are crucial.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy, with proven success in using culturally aware and responsive approaches.
• A track record of familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
