Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' needs effectively. This includes using specialized assessment tools to guide treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific challenges and goals for each client, ensuring a personalized approach to care.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to fit the needs of your clients.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurses, to ensure an integrated approach to care delivery.
• Provide education and support to clients’ families, encouraging their involvement and understanding in the therapeutic process.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, presenting various mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Our focus on culturally competent care ensures that you will engage with clients from varied backgrounds, providing you an enriching experience that enhances your clinical skills and cultural awareness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required to qualify for this role.
• Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State is mandatory for application.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling setting, demonstrating expertise in mental health care, is required.
• Strong understanding of and training in evidence-based practices for treating a range of mental health disorders.
• Exceptional counseling skills with an ability to build rapport and foster motivation among clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across the multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions is highly advantageous.
• Prior work in community mental health settings or with culturally diverse populations is a plus.
• Specialized training in areas such as trauma-informed care or integrated behavioral health is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with your qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will have access to the following benefits:
