Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations for clients, utilizing diagnostic tools to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
• Offer individualized counseling sessions tailored to each client, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, thereby fostering coping strategies and personal growth.
• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, including psychoeducational groups, to discuss shared mental health concerns and encourage a support network amongst peers.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, establishing clear goals and measurable objectives to track client progress effectively.
• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate intervention, conducting thorough risk assessments, and coordinating emergency services as required.
• Remain informed about advancements in mental health practices through continued education, training, and participation in seminars and workshops.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists and social workers, to provide a holistic approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active license as a mental health counselor in New York, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations related to practice.
• Completion of a minimum of three years of supervised clinical experience as mandated by state licensing requirements.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including continuing education and training opportunities that adhere to licensure renewal standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal and counseling skills, enabling effective client engagement and therapeutic rapport.
• Adept at conducting thorough assessments to understand and address clients' mental health needs comprehensively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a remote counseling role, demonstrating proficiency in digital communication and therapeutic documentation.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems to facilitate remote client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits
