Work Environment

This remote position allows you to maintain a comfortable work-life balance while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work. As a member of our telehealth team, you will have access to cutting-edge technology that facilitates virtual consultations, enabling you to provide care to patients when they need it most. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, carefully considering how medical conditions may influence patients’ psychological health.
• Design and execute integrated treatment plans that effectively address both psychiatric and medical patient requirements.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based methodologies tailored to each patient’s unique history and circumstances.
• Engage in collaborative care by actively working with medical providers to establish coordinated treatment strategies that optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies to ensure patient safety and stability.
• Educate patients about the interconnection of mental and physical health, empowering them to take charge of their conditions.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that meets legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning sessions to foster a holistic approach to patient care.
• Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and advancements in integrated mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve clients with co-occurring mental health issues and various medical conditions, such as chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. This role demands a compassionate approach, as you will help patients navigate their multifaceted challenges while fostering their recovery and independence. By closely collaborating with medical professionals, you’ll ensure a seamless blend of psychiatric support with medical care, ultimately enhancing the overall treatment experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• Proven proficiency in supporting individuals with dual diagnoses and co-occurring medical conditions.
• Experience with integrated care models and effective collaboration with medical staff.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster trusting relationships with patients.
• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and prioritizing patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and applicable computer applications.
• A demonstrated capacity to function effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling position.
• Background in working with telehealth platforms to deliver therapy.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices relevant to integrated care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
