Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote work setting, leveraging advanced telehealth technologies to ensure seamless connections between our counselors and clients. Our telehealth facility enables you to create a comfortable and private environment for clients to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own homes. Additionally, you will have access to electronic health record systems like AVATAR to manage patient information efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews, documenting each patient's case through every stage—from initial consultation to treatment completion.
• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being using evidence-based methodologies to inform clinical decisions.
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups in a sensitive and thoughtful manner.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to engage and support clients effectively.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress in alignment with the established treatment plans, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, doctors, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies.
• Maintain open communication with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care for clients requiring hospitalization or advanced medical interventions.
• Identify potential setbacks in recovery and implement preventive strategies to keep clients on a forward trajectory towards their mental health goals.
• Guide family members and primary caregivers through mental and behavioral challenges, empowering them to support their loved ones effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with a diverse client population, addressing a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, showcasing strong clinical expertise.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for documentation and client management.
• Understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional disorders, with insight into addiction treatment methods.
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to ensure effective service delivery.
• Knowledge of pharmacological impacts of medications prescribed by healthcare peers, aiding in comprehensive client assessments.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in telehealth environments or remote counseling, enhancing your ability to connect with clients virtually.
• Knowledge of integrative treatment approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
• Proven track record of client success stories indicating positive outcomes from implemented treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
