Seeking MHC-LPs

Flatiron Counseling currently has several openings for Limited Permit Mental Health Counselors. We are a private practice in Union Square providing outpatient mental health services to a diverse population with a range of presenting problems and diagnoses via in person and telehealth sessions. Our clinical orientation is grounded in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory and approach, while practicing an eclectic, flexible approach to treatment.
We are seeking talented early career clinicians who are eager to learn and grow. Flatiron Counseling employees learn the ins and outs of private practice, develop strong clinical skills, and are encouraged to explore their specific interests and develop a unique clinical voice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient mental health services, collect co-pays and fees, and complete related documentation.
• Attend supervision including didactic learning, case presentations and case consultations.
• Maintain a caseload of 25 clients.
• Commit to a minimum of one in-person evening shift and one virtual evening shift.
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• MHC-LPs eligible to practice in New York state
• Please note we cannot hire LCSWs
• Ability to build strong rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
