Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

JOB TITLE: Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner- Correctional Facility

LOCATION: Lompoc, CA 93436

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the adult in custody population

-Take medical histories, examine patients, and order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays

-Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications

-Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing

-Attend to medical emergencies

-Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, andorder or carry out therapy

-Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary.Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits

QUALIFICATIONS:

-California Nurse License

-Driver's License

-BLS- AHA Certificate

EDUCATION:

-Graduation certification of a credited school.

-Continuing on-going medical education

SCHEDULE:

-The contractor shall perform eight (1) hour sessions per day, 5 days per week excluding Federal Holidays.

-7:30 am- 4:00 pm

-30-minute unpaid lunch break

JOB TYPE: 13-week contract (can be extended)

COMPENSATION: $85.00 per hour (This can be divided into taxed and non-taxed)
