Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, providing thorough assessments to diagnose mental health conditions in students.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices, addressing each student’s unique circumstances.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring that care plans are adjusted based on effectiveness and documented progress.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy and counseling using approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Facilitate collaboration with other mental health professionals and educational staff to create a comprehensive treatment strategy that supports academic and emotional success.
• Provide education to students and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and strategies for self-care.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including treatment outcomes and any changes in symptoms, in accordance with best practices and organizational protocols.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment efficacy and adjust plans as necessary.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to case discussions that aim to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on the pediatric and adolescent populations present within the school environment. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will address various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to more severe psychiatric disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a valid Nurse Practitioner license, with specialized training in psychiatric mental health nursing.

Compensation and Benefits
