Work Environment

The work environment at our Albany facility is structured yet dynamic, allowing for a busy practice atmosphere where healthcare professionals engage collaboratively. As a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner, you will work directly with physicians and clinic staff to ensure that patient care is collaborative and streamlined. You will be responsible for managing a patient load that can exceed 30 patients daily, utilizing our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, EMA, to record detailed patient information and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with various dermatological conditions.
• Administer treatments and perform dermatological procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy, in accordance with established protocols.
• Document patient interactions and clinical findings in the EMA EHR system accurately and efficiently.
• Provide leadership and direction to clinic support staff, ensuring an organized workflow within the practice.
• Work autonomously while recognizing when to consult with supervising physicians for complex cases.
• Implement patient education initiatives to help patients better understand their skin health and treatment plans.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dermatological advancements and integrate this knowledge into clinical practice.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and an active Nurse Practitioner state license are required.
• Must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in dermatology or a related clinical field.
• Board certification as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (DNP-BC) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in performing relevant dermatological procedures and proficient in dermatological terminology.
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one to two years of hands-on dermatology experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, particularly EMA, is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient care through effective clinical judgments and decision-making processes.

Compensation and Benefits

Gleam Skin Wellness Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 125,000 to 190,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a supportive work culture, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
