Key Responsibilities

As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including health history assessments and physical examinations, to develop tailored healthcare plans.
• Utilizing advanced clinical techniques to perform specialized procedures such as IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and pessary fittings.
• Maintaining close collaboration with supervising physicians and other healthcare providers for effective case management and ensuring the continuity of care.
• Championing patient advocacy by considering the physiological, psychosocial, and cultural aspects of care to address the needs of each individual and their families.
• Coordinating patient care by effectively communicating with the healthcare team and ensuring seamless transitions between care settings.
• Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic tests and medical records to guide treatment decisions and follow-up care.
• Demonstrating proficiency in electronic health record systems for documentation, communication, and patient tracking.
• Adhering to safety protocols, legal standards, and confidentiality agreements in all aspects of patient care.
• Managing emergency situations with composure and efficiency while following established protocols and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
• Engaging with patients and their families in a compassionate, service-oriented manner to embody the organization’s commitment to excellence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily engages with female patients, including adolescents and adults, providing holistic care focused on gender-specific health concerns. You will assess and treat a variety of conditions, facilitate preventive care, and educate patients on wellness practices. Your expertise will play a vital role in empowering women to take control of their health and well-being.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of California.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• At least one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, ideally within women’s health.
• Experience working in educational or community-based health settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth services.

• A competitive salary range of $120,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
