Oasis OB/GYN Specialists in Islip, New York, is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality healthcare services to our female patients. Work Environment

This is an onsite position that combines the best of a traditional medical facility with the tailored approach of concierge medicine, including house calls when necessary. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments for patients, obtaining complete health histories and performing necessary tests, following departmental protocols.
• Utilize your advanced clinical skills to deliver specialized women's health services, including but not limited to, inserting intrauterine devices (IUDs), placing Nexplanon, conducting colposcopies, performing endometrial biopsies, and managing pessary fittings.
• Work collaboratively with our team of supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and resolve complex medical cases through consultative approaches.
• Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing various needs—physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive—through compassionate and individualized care.
• Participate in the coordination and continuity of patient care, maintaining strong working relationships with other healthcare team members within our system.
• Review and update medical records to ensure all follow-up and diagnostic orders are placed according to established protocols, enhancing continuity of care.
• Employ technology effectively, utilizing advanced computer systems and telecommunication tools for accurate documentation, tracking patient progress, and facilitating communication.
• Adhere to safety principles and legal standards during patient care, ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information while managing risks appropriately.
• Stay composed and efficient under emergency situations, following established protocols and ensuring rapid notification of the necessary emergency personnel.
• Maintain a service-oriented philosophy in all engagements with patients, families, and colleagues, consistently striving to meet the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing healthcare to diverse populations of women, ranging from adolescence through menopause and beyond. You will be skilled in recognizing the unique health concerns that affect women and will tailor care plans accordingly to promote optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• An active, unrestricted New York APN License, along with current Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registrations.
• At least one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner specifically focusing on women's health.
• Eligibility to participate in state programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of women's health experience is required, we prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in providing women-centric healthcare services. Additionally, familiarity with concierge medical practices or home healthcare is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

At Oasis OB/GYN Specialists, your compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with your experience, with a salary range of $120,000 to $220,000. Benefits include:
