Work Environment

You will work onsite in a modern women’s health clinic designed with patient comfort and privacy in mind. Our facility features a welcoming atmosphere, where patients feel secure and supported during their visits. As a member of our team, you will collaborate in a multidisciplinary approach with physicians, experienced nurse practitioners, and nursing staff, facilitating seamless communication and integrated care plans. Our clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional flex hours for patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and routine screenings for common women's health concerns.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of women’s health conditions, such as reproductive health issues, gynecological infections, menstrual disorders, and menopausal complications.
• Offer family planning services, providing counseling on contraceptive options and reproductive health education.
• Perform critical routine gynecological exams, including Pap smears, breast exams, and other necessary screenings to promote patient health.
• Manage the prenatal care continuum for expectant mothers, ensuring proper monitoring and education regarding fetal development, prenatal visits, and childbirth preparation.
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians and healthcare teams to optimize care pathways for mothers and newborns.
• Prescribe medications, monitor treatment responses, and guide patients through managing side effects or complications.
• Educate patients on sexual and reproductive health issues, providing valuable guidance on STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient encounters using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate proactively in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and overall health outcomes in our clinic.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements and research in women's health through continuing education, ensuring practices are evidence-based and up-to-date.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner will serve diverse patient populations at various life stages, from adolescents to elderly women. Each patient's experience is tailored to address their specific health concerns, lifestyle factors, and individual preferences. By fostering strong patient relationships, this role is crucial in promoting health education and preventive measures that empower women in their health journeys.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialty in Women's Health or equivalent educational background.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women’s health, preferably in a primary care or OB/GYN setting.
• Strong knowledge in gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopausal management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Previous involvement in quality improvement initiatives in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests relevant to women’s health.
• A background in community health outreach or patient education programs.

Compensation and Benefits
