Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments, accurately diagnosing a range of mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with each patient's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, regularly monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services employing various therapeutic techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals to coordinate cohesive patient care and prioritize holistic treatment approaches.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and effective self-care practices.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking medication responses, therapy outcomes, and symptom changes over time.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess progress, address any concerns, and refine treatment plans accordingly.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions for continuous professional development and enhanced patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve include individuals from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and trauma-related disorders. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Current and valid PMHNP certification.
• Active nursing license to practice in the state of Florida.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
