Compassionate Health Care Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Long Beach, California. This position is onsite within a school environment in Long Beach, where healthcare meets education. Working closely with students and their families, you will engage with a diverse population that reflects the rich cultural fabric of the community. Your typical work schedule will be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility for occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. You may also participate in health fairs and community outreach events on weekends, enhancing the visibility of healthcare services available to the community. Expect to work approximately 40 hours weekly, culminating in a fulfilling blend of direct patient care and community engagement.
Your primary focus will be on patients within the school system, including students, their families, and staff, emphasizing a holistic approach to health. This role will require you to understand and navigate the sociocultural dynamics impacting the health of your patients, ensuring that care is sensitive to their backgrounds and needs. By addressing health disparities and promoting preventive care, you will play an integral role in improving the overall health of the school community.
