This position is situated within a school healthcare setting in beautiful Temecula, California, where you will interact daily with students, families, and educational staff. Key Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practices to engage in shared decision-making with students and their families, considering the individual’s preferences and social norms.
• Perform thorough assessments and provide comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Order and manage therapies such as occupational and physical therapy to aid student recovery and rehabilitation.
• Administer injections and other treatment protocols in accordance with your training and state regulations.
• Empower students to take ownership of their health by promoting self-management strategies and community resource utilization.
• Conduct individual and group educational sessions that help students achieve their health goals and enhance their well-being.
• Prescribe medications for joint pain management and foot orthoses, improving student mobility in physical activities.
• Review and interpret patient medical histories to inform future care decisions.
• Advise on general wellness practices and proper foot care to prevent injuries and concerns.
• Order diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, ultrasounds) to inform treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain a robust knowledge of therapeutic and surgical interventions specific to lower extremity care.
• Prescribe and dispense medication following your state licensing and organizational privileges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population includes school-aged children and adolescents, each with varying health concerns and needs. As a Nurse Practitioner in this setting, your role will focus on preventive care, urgent care needs, and chronic disease management. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field is required, with an active license in California.
• Current ANCC or AANP board certification is mandatory for this position.
• CPR/BLS certification must be obtained by the start date.
• Federal DEA number preferred as it may be necessary for full prescribing capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in independent family practice, including wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visits, is highly desirable.
• Previous work in school health services or with pediatric patients is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex cases, aligning with state regulations.

Compensation and Benefits
