Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, employing diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify mental health disorders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring to monitor their effectiveness and adjust dosages as necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
• Deliver psychotherapy services utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate actively with fellow mental health professionals to coordinate care, ensuring comprehensive treatment is provided across disciplines.
• Educate patients and their family members on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking responses to medications and therapies to refine approaches and support ongoing treatment adjustments.
• Conduct follow-up appointments to evaluate treatment efficacy, address any concerns, and modify patient care plans as required.
• Engage in interdisciplinary case conferences and clinical supervision to enhance skill sets and improve collective care approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Ohio.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from an accredited body.

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in establishing rapport with patients.
