We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Airedale Community Health Services. Work Environment

This position will be based onsite within a school facility that caters to a diverse population of students. You will work closely with school administrators, teachers, and parents to meet the health needs of students. Your work hours typically involve 12-hour shifts, equating to approximately 36 to 40 hours a week, structured to ensure comprehensive healthcare coverage for the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments to identify acute and chronic medical conditions affecting students, utilizing evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to formulate and execute individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests to determine appropriate medical interventions and therapies.
• Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary, ensuring compliance with educational regulations and guidelines.
• Educate students and their families on health issues, disease management, and wellness strategies, empowering them for better health outcomes.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive electronic medical records in compliance with organizational policies and legal standards.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of healthcare practices within the educational setting.
• Participate in regular team meetings and interdisciplinary rounds to share insights and discuss patient care advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus primarily on students within the school system, addressing their specific healthcare needs ranging from routine check-ups to managing chronic conditions. Your contributions will not only improve individual health but also influence the overall well-being of the school community.

Qualifications

• Must possess current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• An active nursing license in the state of Nevada is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; however, a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams is necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective patient assessment and care planning.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in pediatric care or school health settings is highly desirable.
• Experience in using electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
• Familiarity with state healthcare policies and educational regulations affecting student care.

Compensation and Benefits
