Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in the cardiology department, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, taking detailed medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and ordering necessary diagnostic tests.
• Collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at managing cardiovascular conditions.
• Monitoring and managing chronic cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias, utilizing evidence-based practices for treatment.
• Providing patients with education on lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and preventive measures to promote heart health, ensuring they feel empowered in their health journey.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, including but not limited to EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms, to assess patient conditions accurately.
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within established clinical protocols, while closely monitoring patients’ progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Engaging in regular patient follow-ups, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any new or ongoing health issues effectively.
• Maintaining meticulous medical records and documentation that comply with regulatory requirements, providing an accurate overview of each patient's health progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients with cardiovascular conditions ranging from those newly diagnosed to individuals managing chronic heart diseases. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related healthcare field, showcasing strong clinical acumen.

Compensation and Benefits
