Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Good Life Medical Clinic, your key responsibilities will include:

• Obtaining and assessing patient medical histories through comprehensive interviews and conducting detailed physical examinations.
• Independently conducting follow-up visits in accordance with organizational guidelines to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, verifying information during every appointment to ensure precision in treatment plans.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results to identify trends and determine the necessity for follow-up appointments, further testing, or treatment interventions.
• Collaborating closely with supervising physicians to develop individualized medical care plans, recommending tailored treatment options and periodically evaluating patient responses to those treatments.
• Delivering top-tier patient care while adhering to company metrics related to productivity and quality standards.
• Acting as an invaluable resource for patients by providing educational resources, counseling, and ongoing care information to empower them in managing their pain.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on managing pain for children and adolescents, addressing a variety of chronic and acute pain conditions. Understanding the unique challenges faced by our young patients and their families is crucial. Your expertise will play a vital role in improving their quality of life and guiding them towards effective pain management strategies.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing, specializing as a Nurse Practitioner, from an accredited institution.
• Current and active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of experience in pain management or performing physical examinations in a clinical setting.
• Strong clinical skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, being able to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Practice Management systems.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel, to assist with documentation and reporting tasks.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resourcefulness, problem-solving skills, and proactive patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in an educational or school-based health setting is advantageous. Familiarity with pain management protocols and a background in pediatric healthcare will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
