This role is situated within a school setting, allowing for direct interaction with children, families, and educational staff. Work hours typically run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with an average of 40 hours per week and occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. Additionally, you may participate in community outreach events or health fairs during weekends to further enhance community health engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments for individuals and families in order to develop tailored care plans.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute and chronic conditions, integrating preventive care measures and health promotion strategies into all patient interactions.
• Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community groups to create and implement health education programs aimed at improving public health.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring they understand their rights and have access to necessary healthcare services.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care, ensuring continuity of treatment for all patients.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Actively engage in community outreach activities, sharing relevant health information and offering free health screenings at local events.
• Stay informed about emerging community health trends and evidence-based best practices in nursing and public health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Family Nurse Practitioner at Amadeus Internal and Family Medicine, you will primarily serve underrepresented populations within the Colorado Springs area. This includes families, children, and individuals facing social and economic challenges who are often unable to access adequate healthcare. Your role will be crucial in addressing their unique health concerns and improving their health literacy.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner certification and a valid nursing license for the state of Colorado.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical theory and practice.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, particularly in community health or public health settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The Family Nurse Practitioner role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 180,000 to 200,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
