Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient evaluations including history taking and physical examinations to understand their pain management needs.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to ascertain the underlying causes of patients' pain.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that outline medication management, including the prescription of both narcotic and non-narcotic medications in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
• Assess the suitability of patients for interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, TENS unit applications, spinal cord stimulator placements, and radio-frequency ablation procedures.
• Execute interventional procedures including trigger point injections, Botox/Dysport injections, and the removal of temporary spinal cord stimulator leads, while closely monitoring patient outcomes and progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing chronic pain, including but not limited to geriatric patients, those with previous musculoskeletal injuries, and individuals requiring multi-modal approaches for pain relief. Your role will be vital in assessing their conditions, recommending potential therapies, and laying out actionable plans that incorporate both advanced medical treatments and lifestyle adjustments.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher from an accredited nursing program is required, equipping you with the theoretical and practical knowledge essential for patient care.
• An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
• Strong experience in geriatrics is preferred to ensure optimal care for older adults.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in critical care, family practice, outpatient settings, telemedicine, or pediatric care is advantageous.
• Familiarity with pain management procedures and protocols will be considered a strong asset.
• Practitioners who have worked in hospital settings or have provided care for complex pain cases are highly encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
