Key Responsibilities

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will:

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.
• Develop and initiate patient-centered treatment plans incorporating both medication management and therapy.
• Monitor the effectiveness of prescribed treatments and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide crisis intervention to patients in acute distress, offering support and resources during critical moments.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare practitioners to deliver integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support for patient needs.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at educating the public on mental health awareness and available resources.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and the highest standards of professional ethics.
• Offer therapeutic support through individual and group counseling sessions while focusing on psychoeducation to enhance patient insight and coping strategies.

You will work with a varied patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, reflecting the community we serve in Jersey City. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• A current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with psychiatric specialization.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
