The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite alongside a team of skilled professionals, including physicians and physician assistants, in a supportive environment that values teamwork and open communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments through detailed interviews and physical examinations, ensuring comprehensive health evaluations.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, document injections, and administer medications and anesthetic agents with precision.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing advanced clinical judgement to evaluate and manage the care of patients.
• Maintain high standards within the clinic by ensuring effective patient flow, supervising clinical staff as needed.
• Collaborate closely with physician colleagues to coordinate patient care, including timely communication regarding lab reviews, urgent triage of patient concerns, and post-visit follow-ups.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise by serving as a role model and resource for both medical staff and patients.
• Prescribe and manage medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
• Document all patient interaction comprehensively to facilitate communication within the team and with patients.
• Maintain quality assurance of medical charts and testing, contributing to continual improvement in clinical practices.
• Manage a caseload of 16-18 patients per day, optimizing time management to deliver timely and effective care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will work with a diverse array of patients facing challenges related to chronic pain management, including individuals with complex medical histories. Our patient-centered approach focuses on assessing both the physical and emotional needs of patients, empowering them to actively participate in their treatment plans. The NP will also engage in educational initiatives that promote awareness and understanding of pain management strategies.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of California.
• Completion of a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active DEA Licensure, required prior to start date.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and TEAMS.
• Commitment to ongoing education and training, along with adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a pain management or outpatient clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with a track record of effectively managing multiple patient cases and priorities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathetic patient interaction.
• Experience using EMR systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
