Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Mindful Haven, your responsibilities will include:

• Administering, ordering, and prescribing medications within the scope of practice to manage patient pain effectively.
• Maintaining efficient patient flow by coordinating with clinical staff to optimize scheduling and care delivery.
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including gathering health histories and performing physical examinations to diagnose conditions.
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to develop tailored treatment plans for patients suffering from pain.
• Providing direct and indirect support to collaborating physicians, assisting with patient communication, laboratory reviews, and follow-ups as necessary.
• Documenting all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHRs) to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
• Explaining treatment options and educating patients about their conditions and care strategies.
• Significantly contributing to the clinical team by serving as a role model and mentor, offering guidance to junior staff and enhancing collective knowledge in pain management.
• Assessing all abnormal findings and ensuring timely interventions and referrals.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care protocols and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Mindful Haven, our focus is on patients experiencing chronic pain, including but not limited to conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and neuralgia. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active California state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification by ANCC or ANPP.
• DEA Licensure by the start of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation systems, including Epic, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Completion of HIPAA compliance training and understanding of patient confidentiality guidelines.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly regarded:

• Previous experience in pain management or related fields.
• Proficiency in evaluating and managing complex patient care scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient groups.
• Experience utilizing EHR systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
