Work Environment

As an NP at Ensured Care Medical Center, you will operate in an onsite, outpatient cardiology setting. The environment is built on collaboration, with multiple Cardiologists, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals working together. Regular interaction with administrative support staff further enhances our interdisciplinary approach to patient care. The typical work hours are from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, promoting work-life balance with no night shifts, no call duties, and no weekend requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Cardiologists and other care team members to deliver high-quality cardiac care.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
• Effectively manage patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension and high cholesterol.
• Provide specialized outpatient services, focusing on electrophysiology, including device management and care for abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Oversee the management of acute conditions including coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and congestive heart failure.
• Administer and interpret stress tests, ensuring timely and accurate diagnosis of cardiac issues.
• Make referrals to appropriate specialists within the organization as needed, enhancing the continuity of care for patients.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention methods.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with compliance standards and assist in quality reporting initiatives.
• Receive ongoing supervision and support from on-site Cardiologists, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on an adult patient population who often present with various cardiovascular concerns. Our model emphasizes a personalized approach to each individual’s health, taking into account their unique risk factors and health histories. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in managing both chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions and promoting overall heart health through education and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current national certification.
• A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona.
• Completion of an accredited program relevant to cardiac care or other specialty areas.

Preferred Experience

• Prior clinical experience in cardiology, whether in inpatient or outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with advanced practices in electrophysiology and arrhythmia management is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to provide patient education effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
