Key Responsibilities

As a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments and obtaining detailed patient histories.
• Performing comprehensive physical examinations to evaluate pain conditions.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and performing therapeutic procedures such as trigger point injections and joint injections, with or without ultrasound guidance.
• Formulating treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Monitoring patient progress and the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, making necessary adjustments to treatment as required.
• Providing patient education and counseling to empower individuals in managing their pain and understanding treatment options.
• Coordinating referrals to specialists as needed and actively participating in multidisciplinary patient care meetings.
• Reviewing and maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards, ensuring all documentation is current and precise.
• Being “on call” for patient emergencies or concerns during non-clinic hours on a rotating basis.
• Staying informed about industry standards, best practices, and ongoing changes in pain management methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, many of whom may have complex medical histories and require multidimensional approaches to pain relief. You will engage with a diverse patient demographic, addressing their unique needs through personalized, compassionate care.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with board certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• A current and unrestricted DEA license.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
• Exceptional computer skills with experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to patient care.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of pain management experience is preferred, candidates with a strong clinical background in related fields and a passion for pain management are encouraged to apply. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered an asset in our diverse community.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary of $115,000 to $165,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
