Southwest Pain Relief Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Lakewood, Ohio facility. This role is critical in delivering comprehensive pain management services to our diverse patient population, ensuring each individual receives the highest quality of care throughout their treatment journey.

Work Environment

The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will work onsite in our hospital facility, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team comprised of medical assistants, laboratory technicians, and physicians. Our work culture promotes teamwork, open communication, and a patient-centered approach. This position operates within a structured schedule of four ten-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, allowing for work-life balance while ensuring optimal care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories and conducting comprehensive physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, including administering trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks, both with and without ultrasound guidance.
• Formulate diagnostic impressions based on assessments, implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed therapies and interventions, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide patient education and counseling, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and feel supported throughout their care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists, making necessary referrals for comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance processes and patient care within the pain management department.
• Stay accessible for call duties during non-clinic hours on a rotating basis with fellow providers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will encounter a broad spectrum of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, osteoarthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-operative pain. With a commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care, you will play a vital role in improving the physical and emotional well-being of our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Ohio.
• Board-certified as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• A Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
• A valid and unrestricted DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance measures.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience in pain management or a related healthcare setting.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
