Work Environment

The position is onsite within a school-based facility, allowing you to interact with a varied patient demographic, including children and adolescents, as well as adults. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations, accurately document medical histories, and assess patients' skin conditions.
• Formulate effective treatment plans for skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and other dermatological disorders, ensuring all treatment options are explained to the patient.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, tailoring approaches to meet the specific health needs of different age groups.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including skin biopsies and suture management, with precision and care.
• Educate patients on skin health, explaining preventive measures and skincare routines to prevent conditions from worsening.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care management and efficient patient referrals as necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies to assure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily works with individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults who require dermatological assessment and treatment. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on dermatology or a related field.
• Current and active state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner with specialty training in dermatology.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner with significant exposure to dermatology.
• Strong understanding of dermatological assessment and treatment protocols, with confidence in performing procedures.
