Position Overview

Harmony Health Care Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to become an integral part of our healthcare team. In this full-time, onsite position located in Bend, Oregon, you will provide advanced nursing care tailored to a school environment, focusing on the health and well-being of students. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physical and mental health of students and diagnose both acute and chronic conditions.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop tailored treatment plans, while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure seamless care.
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing therapies, ensuring that student health needs are met within school hours.
• Educate students and their families on preventive care, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote overall well-being.
• Maintain thorough and accurate electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating better care coordination.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities, taking part in school health initiatives aimed at enhancing student health outcomes.
• Stay abreast of the latest medical guidelines, practices, and educational regulations to ensure that care strategies align with current standards and policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children, addressing a spectrum of health concerns from common illnesses and injuries to chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes. You will play a vital role in guiding students through their health challenges, supporting them physically and emotionally, and engaging with their families to encourage a cooperative approach to health management.

Qualifications

• Current and valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with an active state nursing license in Oregon.
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing, coupled with a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• At least 3-5 years of clinical experience in pediatrics or a related specialty, demonstrating proficiency in dealing with health issues relevant to children and adolescents.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for interacting effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills that enhance decision-making in a fast-paced school health environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within a school-based health setting or community health, particularly in managing chronic diseases in children.
• Familiarity with electronic health systems and medical documentation, ensuring accuracy in patient records and compliance with school policies.
• Proven ability to plan and execute health education programs that engage students and promote wellness initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary range of $150,000 – $180,000 annually. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a retirement plan.
