Key Responsibilities

As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough women's health assessments, utilizing medical history reviews, and performing physical examinations and screenings to determine the health needs of each patient.
• Diagnosing and treating conditions such as reproductive health disorders, gynecological infections, menstrual irregularities, and menopausal symptoms, ensuring an evidence-based approach to care.
• Offering family planning services, including contraceptive counseling, prescribing contraceptives, and educating patients about reproductive health options that best suit their lifestyles.
• Performing routine gynecological examinations, Pap smears, and breast exams to monitor and maintain women's health proactively.
• Managing comprehensive prenatal care, guiding expectant mothers through visits that include monitoring fetal development, and providing evidence-based education regarding pregnancy and childbirth.
• Collaborating with obstetricians and healthcare providers to facilitate coordinated care for pregnant patients, enhancing outcomes across the continuum of care.
• Providing education on sexual and reproductive health, aiming to improve awareness regarding STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception health.
• Interpreting diagnostic tests, including ultrasounds and laboratory results, and developing individualized treatment plans based on findings.
• Prescribing medications and delivering follow-up care to ensure treatment efficacy and manage any side effects.
• Documenting patient interactions with meticulous attention to detail in electronic health record systems, maintaining accurate health records.
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and leveraging feedback to enhance patient care, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Women’s Health Clinic serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents, pregnant women, and menopausal patients. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.
• Board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women's health, preferably within a primary care or OB/GYN setting.
• Solid understanding of women's health issues, encompassing gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopausal management.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences will stand out:

Compensation and Benefits
