Work Environment

Your role will be located in our modern clinic facility, specifically designed with the unique needs of women’s healthcare in mind. You will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork and support among colleagues, which enhances patient care quality. Working hours will generally be Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend shifts required to accommodate special events or urgent patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough women's health assessments, including detailed medical history reviews, physical examinations, and relevant screenings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women's health conditions, such as reproductive health issues, menstrual disorders, and menopausal symptoms.
• Provide family planning services, which include contraceptive counseling, prescribing contraceptives, and educating patients on reproductive health.
• Perform routine gynecological exams, such as Pap smears and breast examinations, ensuring all screenings are up to standards.
• Manage prenatal care for expectant mothers through regular check-ups, monitoring fetal development, and offering prenatal education.
• Collaborate effectively with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care for pregnant patients.
• Educate and counsel patients on sexual and reproductive health, including STD prevention strategies and fertility awareness.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans based on results to address patients’ health concerns.
• Prescribe medications while providing follow-up care to monitor treatment effectiveness and manage any potential side effects.
• Document patient interactions accurately in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring information is organized and accessible for continued care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and health outcomes.
• Stay current with advancements in women's health through continuing education and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is women of all ages seeking healthcare interventions related to reproductive health, gynecological care, prenatal services, and menopausal management. You will work with diverse populations, providing culturally competent care tailored to each patient's unique needs and circumstances. Building a trusted relationship with your patients is crucial, as many may be dealing with sensitive health issues and require both information and support.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado is necessary to practice.
• Board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is essential.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women’s health settings is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of women's health issues such as gynecology, reproductive health, and menopause is required.
• Proficient in performing gynecological exams and related health screenings.
• Exemplary communication skills to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice standards.

Preferred Experience
