Pain Management Nurse Practitioner – Full-Time Position

The Winter Haven Pain Management Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pain management care to our diverse patient population, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our Fort Worth facility, where you will work closely with our skilled medical assistants, laboratory technicians, and physicians. The work setting fosters collaboration and encourages the sharing of ideas to enhance patient care techniques. You'll work four 10-hour shifts during weekdays, with no weekend responsibilities, providing a work-life balance that supports both your professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations to assess pain levels and treatment needs.
• Order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as physical therapy, ensuring appropriate interventions tailored to each patient.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic impressions, continually monitoring their effectiveness.
• Provide patient education and counseling to empower individuals in their pain management journey, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
• Assist in referrals to specialists as necessary, demonstrating the role of teamwork in optimizing patient care.
• Administer trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks utilizing ultrasound guidance when necessary.
• Engage in the authorization of incoming fax requests for medication refills, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
• Actively participate in the review of monthly prescription monitoring reports to help manage and reduce potential risks associated with medications.
• Be available for non-clinic hours on a rotating basis with the other providers, ensuring continuous patient support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and present a wide array of pain management needs, often dealing with chronic conditions. By offering personalized care and treatment plans, you will play an essential role in improving their quality of life. Your ability to communicate effectively, particularly with non-English-speaking patients, will enhance our service delivery—bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current board certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• A Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies is preferred, demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge.
• A minimum of 1 year of direct experience in pain management is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) Certification is required.
• Possession of a current and unrestricted DEA license.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to document and track patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and caring demeanor to facilitate rapport with patients and team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and concise exchanges of information.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a pain management clinic setting will be advantageous, as familiarity with this environment enhances your ability to respond effectively to our patients' specialized needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 115,000 to USD 165,000 annually, depending on experience.
