Position Summary
PART-TIME 16-30 HOURS PER WEEK
The
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric care within Restored Life Health Network’s residential treatment and recovery continuum. This role delivers evidence‑based psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management—including
MAT services—and collaborative care aligned with Indiana State Licensing requirements. The PNP supports individuals experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co‑occurring conditions, ensuring safe, ethical, and recovery‑oriented treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Psychiatric Assessment — Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments for adults in residential and step‑down levels of care.
- Medication Management — Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in accordance with Indiana prescriptive authority and organizational protocols.
- MAT Delivery — Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (buprenorphine, naltrexone, etc.) within scope of practice; monitor withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and treatment response.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration — Partner with therapists, nurses, case managers, and medical staff to ensure integrated care planning and continuity across the recovery continuum.
- Crisis Intervention — Respond to psychiatric emergencies, conduct safety evaluations, and implement stabilization strategies.
- Documentation Compliance — Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation aligned with Indiana licensing standards, Medicaid/insurance requirements, and RLHN policies.
- Care Coordination — Support transitions between residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient, and community-based services.
- Patient Education — Provide psychoeducation on diagnoses, medications, recovery expectations, and relapse‑prevention strategies.
- Quality & Compliance — Uphold all state regulations, DEA requirements, and organizational policies related to prescribing, MAT, and controlled substances.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with psychiatric specialization.
- Current Indiana APRN license with prescriptive authority; active DEA registration.
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric NP experience preferred, ideally in residential or addiction‑treatment settings.
- Demonstrated competency in MAT protocols, withdrawal management, and co‑occurring disorder treatment.
- Strong knowledge of Indiana State Licensing standards for residential and recovery programs.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
