We are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new Medi-Weightloss clinic in Coatesville, PA, and we're actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our growing healthcare team!

Role Type: Contract Hours: 15-20 hours per week
About the Role:
As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Medi-Weightloss, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality, evidence-based weight loss management. You will be responsible for comprehensive patient care, ensuring strict adherence to our established protocols, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and HIPAA compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Management:
- Deliver outstanding patient service, fostering a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Conduct thorough patient medical and psychosocial history intake.
- Perform physical examinations and order/interpret laboratory results and diagnostic procedures, including EKGs.
- Prescribe and dispense FDA-approved appetite suppressants in strict accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Manage patient communication, including appointment reminders, care calls, progress updates, and lab result discussions.
- Conduct initial consultations and assessments with patients regarding the Medi-Weightloss™ programs.
Clinical Operations & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) chart.
- Adhere to and implement all Medi-Weightloss™ patient care protocols and operational policies.
- Ensure compliance with Medical Director requirements for chart review per the Collaborative Agreement.
- Uphold all operational guidelines, including HIPAA, OSHA, and location-specific requirements.
Team Collaboration & Development:
- Collaborate effectively with the collaborating physician and specialists regarding patient care.
- Participate in staff interviewing, hiring, and evaluation processes as needed.
- Provide training and mentorship to clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development and required refresher training (e.g., Regional Trainings, Onsite Support, Bootcamps, and eLearning).
- Contribute to clinic marketing efforts and overall location profitability and success.
- Support front desk operations by managing incoming calls when other staff are unavailable.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must possess active and relevant PA state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Candidates with DEA license are preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital setting is preferred.
- A strong background in patient care, particularly within primary care or weight loss management, is a significant plus.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
