Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized occupational therapy interventions to patients with diverse needs resulting from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities, employing techniques to restore function, alleviate discomfort, and prevent further complications.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patient needs, capabilities, and goals, developing pragmatic treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Meet established clinical care quality standards, ensuring high levels of patient and physician satisfaction while consistently hitting patient care time targets of 75% or higher in inpatient settings.
• Familiarize yourself with the operational strategies within our acute care environment, preparing patients for successful transitions to rehabilitation settings and following up to ensure efficacy.
• Engage in collaborative care pathways, working in tandem with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with relevant regulatory standards and organizational policies, ensuring all treatment provided is recorded accurately for discharge planning and quality assurance initiatives.
• Adhere strictly to the scope of practice as outlined in state regulations and continually advance professional skills through ongoing professional education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patient populations requiring early intervention, including individuals recovering from surgeries, traumatic injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. You will also interact with patients across diverse age groups, tailoring interventions to their unique needs while ensuring that you foster a compassionate and supportive therapeutic atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required; advanced degrees (Masters or Doctoral) are preferred.
• Current state licensure, certification, and registration in good standing, or the ability to obtain licensure before commencing employment.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to acquire this certification prior to your starting date, ensuring readiness for any emergencies.
• Strong foundations in professional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, to maintain accurate documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits
