Work Environment

The Occupational Therapist position is situated in our outpatient office, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The environment is designed to be both friendly and professional, emphasizing teamwork and open communication. Here, you will utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to streamline patient information management, ensuring efficient treatment processes and coordination with other healthcare professionals. The office operates Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options that promote work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist at Precision Healing Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' cognitive, perceptual, and physical abilities, as well as analyzing their home and work environments for any necessary adaptations.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on specific patient goals, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to adjust therapy plans as necessary and to optimize patient outcomes.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously and communicating updates with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure that everyone is aligned on care objectives.
• Supervising support staff, including occupational therapy aides and assistants, while providing direct patient care when appropriate.
• Actively engaging with community resources to provide patients with necessary referrals for ongoing care and support beyond therapy sessions.
• Participating in departmental program development initiatives, including proposing updates to policies and procedures based on best practices and recent research findings.
• Other responsibilities as required to support patient care and departmental goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily assist patients dealing with mental, physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities. You will be instrumental in helping them regain independence, improve daily functioning, and successfully reintegrate into their home and work environments. Your expertise will guide individuals toward achieving their personal best, encouraging growth and recovery throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of one year of relevant occupational therapy experience is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts.
• CPR Certification to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, assessments, interventions, and treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with patients and work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
• Strong organizational capabilities to manage a varied caseload effectively.
• Experience with EMR systems to facilitate efficient record-keeping and communication.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience in a rehabilitation or acute care healthcare setting, enhancing your ability to address complex patient needs.
• Specialized training or coursework in areas related to occupational therapy, clinical education, or program development.

Compensation and Benefits

Precision Healing Center values its employees and offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
