Precision Healing Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in New Bedford, Massachusetts. In this full-time, onsite role, you will engage in meaningful therapeutic practices to aid individuals in enhancing their ability to perform daily tasks and reach their highest level of independence. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' cognitive, perceptual, and physical skills, alongside assessments of their home and work environments to provide individualized feedback and recommendations.
• Develop, implement, and adjust tailored occupational therapy treatment plans based on ongoing assessments, ensuring alignment with the patients' goals for independence and recovery.
• Engage actively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, contributing insights and updates regarding treatment progress during departmental meetings and case consultations.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records that satisfy departmental requirements and facilitate seamless communication with other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor occupational therapy aides, assistants, and students, ensuring that treatment modalities are applied effectively and ethically.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families regarding community assistance programs, medical equipment, and referral options to ensure continuity of care beyond the rehabilitation facility.
• Play an active role in departmental program development, contributing ideas for improvement and best practices based on the latest standards in occupational therapy.
• Participate in collaborative practice initiatives that aim to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies within the facility.

As an Occupational Therapist, your role will be crucial in empowering these individuals to regain control over their daily activities. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A current and valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts.
• CPR certification is mandatory to ensure the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with a diverse healthcare team.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to work toward fostering independence in patients are critical attributes for success in this role.
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and manage a varied caseload, adapting to changing priorities and needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of prior experience in occupational therapy is preferred, particularly in rehabilitation or acute care settings.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is beneficial for efficient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

Precision Healing Center recognizes the value of our Occupational Therapists by offering a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
