Work Environment

This role is onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. You will be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and other healthcare specialists. Our environment promotes collaboration, continual learning, and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Regular work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient scheduling needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the functional abilities of patients, identifying strengths and limitations to create tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
• Work in collaboration with patients, their family members, and caregivers to set and achieve meaningful, realistic therapeutic goals.
• Design and lead therapeutic activities that enhance fine and gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and endurance.
• Incorporate adaptive equipment and assistive technologies to empower patients in performing activities of daily living independently.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, energy conservation strategies, and methods to prevent further disabilities.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to remain current with occupational therapy advancements.
• Uphold ethical practices and patient confidentiality while advocating for the best interests of your patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Occupational Therapist at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various medical conditions. Your role encompasses addressing neurological disorders, orthopedic rehabilitation, and developmental challenges, enabling all patients to enhance their ability to participate in daily life activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• CPR certification to ensure patient care standards.
• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, assessments, and interventions.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help individuals maximize their independence.
• Proficient organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting is desirable but not required.
• A proven track record of developing successful treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Experience using adaptive technology and equipment in therapeutic settings.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or education related to occupational therapy is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
