Work Environment

This position is anchored in an onsite rehabilitation center where teamwork and patient-centric care are at the forefront. You will collaborate with fellow therapists, assistants, nurses, and administrative staff, all committed to fostering an environment that empowers patients. The center operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting work-life balance while ensuring timely patient care. The clinic’s modern layout encourages open communication and efficient workflows among staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
• Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies to restore function and enhance daily living skills, employing adaptive techniques and assistive devices as necessary.
• Engage patients in physical and cognitive rehabilitation exercises, tracking progress and adjusting plans based on outcomes.
• Review medical records and referrals thoroughly to tailor interventions that align with the patient’s overall treatment plan.
• Participate actively in continued education programs, contributing to professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Assist in onboarding and training new staff members, enhancing team capability and cohesion.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will provide care to clients aiming to improve their physical capabilities, regain independence, and adapt to changes in their health status. Our client-focused approach ensures that individual goals and preferences guide the rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive and empowering treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Texas state licensure in Occupational Therapy, along with an up-to-date CPR certification.
• A minimum of two years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a clinical or rehabilitative setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient clinic environment, with a preference for participation in an acute care setting.
• Familiarity with treatment methods for diverse conditions such as neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and disabilities related to oncology.
