Work Environment

The Occupational Therapist will work on-site at our outpatient office located in Bloomington, Illinois. Our facility is designed to support the needs of patients who require rehabilitation and therapeutic services. Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough clinical assessments to identify and prioritize patients' needs, establishing appropriateness for care.
• Document and maintain detailed patient care plans, including progress notes and all necessary clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at restoring function and independence.
• Facilitate interventions for clients affecting their range of motion, strength, coordination, and functional mobility, while addressing safety in the performance of activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Engage in effective communication with clients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and achieve therapeutic goals.
• Regularly assess and modify treatment plans based on client progress, needs, and feedback.
• Contribute to team meetings and case conferences, sharing knowledge and best practices to optimize patient outcomes.
• Meet OSHA standards for infection control and safety throughout the provision of care.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and remain current with industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Occupational Therapist will provide care to a varied patient population, ranging from children to older adults, each with unique physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current CPR certification.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and staff.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
