Full-Time Occupational Therapist for Early Intervention Services

Position Overview

Atlantic Motion Rehab & Wellness is actively seeking a dedicated, full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to enhance our Early Interventional Center located in Auburn, Washington. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional capabilities, focusing on their fine and gross motor skills, cognitive function, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that may include adaptive techniques, strength training, range of motion exercises, and the integration of assistive devices to enhance patient independence.
• Guide patients through self-management strategies, offering education on ergonomics, home exercises, and other techniques to improve daily function.
• Evaluate patient progress regularly, updating treatment plans as required, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient outcomes for compliance with clinic protocols.
• Create customized home exercise programs that align with therapeutic goals to encourage sustained progress between therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nutritionists, and physical therapists to coordinate multidisciplinary care effectively tailored to each patient’s recovery path.
• Assist patients with recommendations for modifications at home or workplace to better support their rehabilitation and prevent future injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range from those recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals managing chronic pain or injuries. The focus is on enhancing independence and improving quality of life through targeted rehabilitation strategies. You will work closely with adult and pediatric patients, making it vital to understand diverse age-related needs and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state occupational therapy license in Washington, or eligibility for licensure.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of orthopedic conditions and rehabilitative practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey.
• A compassionate and patient-centered approach, accompanied by a strong desire to improve patients’ quality of life.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, fostering effective partnerships within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings, specifically in orthopedic or musculoskeletal therapy.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and treatment plans efficiently.
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment use and training clients on its application in real-life scenarios.
