Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refraction, and overall ocular health using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and manage various eye disorders, offering treatment plans that may include prescribing corrective lenses, medications, or referrals to specialty care when necessary.
• Foster patient relationships through education on eye health topics, such as diabetic eye disease prevention, management of dry eye symptoms, and the importance of UV protection.
• Perform advanced diagnostic tests, including but not limited to retinal imaging and visual field testing, to monitor a patient’s ocular condition.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including ophthalmologists and primary care providers, ensuring seamless patient care and communication.
• Maintain accurate patient records in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, documenting all assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans to facilitate optimal patient care continuity.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, integrating the latest research and advancements into daily practices to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages, from children requiring vision screenings for school to senior patients managing age-related ocular diseases. Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• A valid Ohio state optometry license to practice.
• Board certification or eligibility for board certification in optometry is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
