Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough pre-operative and post-operative consultations, ensuring a continuum of care that enhances each patient's journey through eye surgery.
• Performing a variety of visual examinations to accurately detect ocular conditions and prescribing corrective lenses as necessary.
• Utilizing appropriate coding and billing procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards, thereby ensuring the financial integrity of patient services.
• Engaging with patients involved in clinical research protocols, providing valuable insights from your expertise to further enhance our research initiatives.
• Demonstrating responsiveness to new protocols and procedures, identifying opportunities to optimize daily operations and improve patient experiences.
• Collaborating with fellow ophthalmologists and healthcare team members to facilitate seamless referrals and co-management of patient treatment plans.
• Expertly fitting and adjusting contact lenses and eyeglasses, prioritizing patient comfort and visual acuity.
• Maintaining accurate and organized patient records to ensure comprehensive documentation of examinations, treatments, and follow-up plans.
• Exemplifying ethical practices and adhering to all regulatory guidelines to uphold trust and integrity in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will serve a diverse range of patients, from children needing routine eye examinations to adults requiring specialized treatment for complex ocular conditions. Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution, showcasing your advanced education and specialized knowledge in optometry.
• A valid and active licensure to practice optometry in the state of Massachusetts.
• Board certification or eligibility for certification signifies your commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Preferred Experience
