This position is based onsite at our outpatient office, where you will work alongside a team of optometrists and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough comprehensive eye examinations, assessing visual acuity, ocular health, and overall patient wellness.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of eye conditions, prescribing appropriate corrective lenses, medications, and treatment plans.
• Provide specialized care tailored to diverse patient demographics, including pediatric, geriatric, and patients requiring specialty contact lenses.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment such as retinal imaging, visual field testing, and corneal topography to assess patient needs.
• Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and effective referrals when needed.
• Educate patients on optimal eye care practices, addressing issues like contact lens hygiene and digital eye strain management.
• Perform fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring comfort and optimal vision correction for each patient.
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records, documenting patient examinations, developing treatment plans, and tracking progress.
• Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in optometry to provide the best care possible.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered treatment, ensuring that all patient inquiries are addressed with empathy and clarity.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from a recognized and accredited optometry program is required.

• Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye exams and interpreting various diagnostic tests.
• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic acumen, and attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling established rapport with patients and collaboration with team members.
• A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and adherence to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a similar clinical setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital diagnostic equipment is preferred.
• Continued education in specific areas of optometry, such as specialty contact lens fitting or low vision rehabilitation, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
