At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a MRI Patient Coordinator/Lung Cancer Screener, to join our team in the Diagnostic Center.
 

The primary responsibility of the MRI PC is:

  • Review orders for accuracy prior to ordering entry for radiology studies
  • Assist the Medical Imaging Technologist in providing care to Inpatients, Outpatients, and the Emergency Department.
  • By transporting patients,
  • Stocking rooms with supplies,
  • Double identify patients and screen for accuracy of date, time, & procedure.
  • Assisting tech with the positioning of patients,
  • Utilizing multiple software and systems to ensure accurate and timely documentation of medical record information and imaging studies
  • Scan Providers notes and Consent forms into medical records and PACS
  • Utilize closed loop communication for all interdepartmental handoffs of patient care

 

The primary responsibilities of overseeing the Lung Cancer Screening Program involve a variety of responsibilities aimed at enabling the early detection of lung cancer to save lives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding patients through the lung cancer screening process,
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals from multiple specialties,
  • Promoting community awareness
  • Participating in the development of patient education
  • Ensuring that timely recommendations and/or follow-up care are relayed to patients and ordering providers.

 

An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications.

  •  Medical terminology recommended
  • Working in a hospital (or scheduling) setting for 1–2 years is recommended.
  • Good communication skills
  • Compassionate
  • Self-motivated and a strong work ethic.
  • BLS / CPR Certified
 

Compensation:

Min:$17.83

Max:$27.64
