Our specialty healthcare practice is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this highly visible role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients, creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door or call the office.
What You'll Do
- Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and exceptional customer service.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using the practice management system.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and update appointment changes daily.
- Explain financial responsibilities, collect co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance, and balance daily cash transactions.
- Communicate scheduling updates and patient concerns with physicians and clinical staff.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and assist with other administrative duties.
- Provide front office support across multiple practice locations, including Lyerly, Glenwood, Ooltewah, and Cleveland, as needed.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative, patient-focused team.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of medical front office/reception experience (required)
- At least 1 year of experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (required)
- Knowledge of medical insurance verification and patient registration processes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting.
- Comfortable handling confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities.

• Demonstrated ability to handle patient scheduling and appointment coordination in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience performing patient check-in and general receptionist duties with accuracy and professionalism.
• Working knowledge of basic medical terminology used in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail throughout the workday.
• Comfort using standard office systems and front desk tools to complete daily administrative responsibilities.
