This part-time Long Term Care Pharmacist opportunity offers a 24-hour weekly schedule, primarily supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care settings, and hospice patients. The assignment is initially set for one month with potential extensions based on ongoing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify packaging of blister-packed medications along with sterile and non-sterile preparations.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance as needed.
• Manage controlled substance counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation.
• Inspect and verify emergency medication boxes for completeness and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacist experience, preferably in a long-term care (LTC) setting.
• Physical ability to perform duties including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, and visual acuity; capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.

Hours:

• 24 hours per week
• Pharmacy operational Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
