Rose Pharmacy and Boutique Apothecary is looking to hire a high performing compounding pharmacy technician at our beautiful Cornelius location. This experience will not be like any that you have had due to our unique offerings and your integration into all aspects of our business.

Qualifications
- 2+ years experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail, hospital or home infusion environment
- At least 2 year of USP 795 (non-sterile), 797 (sterile), and 800 (Hazardous) compounding preparation experience
- General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques
- Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions
- Effective mathematical skills
- Excellent communication, organization skills, and attention to detail
- Basic PC Skills
- Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently
- Quick learner
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will be expected to perform technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of pharmaceuticals
- You will be expected to learn about all our offerings and how they enhance the experience of our clients.
- You will also be required, with our guidance, to set goals for your professional development in which we will evaluate and work towards on a continual basis.
- You will also be required to attend relevant trainings offered that we believe will be beneficial to you and our business.
As a Pharmacy Technician - in Compounding, you will:
- Coordinate and schedule the preparation of both sterile and non-sterile formulations with the assistance of the Pharmacist
- Complete all calculations on product preparation and obtain validation from the Pharmacist before compounding/mixing
- Compound sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, using aseptic technique where state laws permit
- Prepare labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and complete and maintain product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records
- Ensure compounding/clean room areas and related equipment are cleaned, sanitized and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Adhere to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to the compounding of Pharmaceutical Preparations.
